Comprehensive Ocean Dataset Extraction (CODE) Program


  • The CODE Program is an extraction and summarization program designed to work with the CD-ROM version of the COADS Dataset (see the NCAR Home Page for a complete description of the COADS dataset). 



  • The original CODE program was developed by Roy Mendelssohn, Claude Roy(ORSTOM) and Cindy Curtis.  The manual for this original program ("Comprehensive Ocean Dataset Extraction -User's Guide", NOAA Technical Memorandum NOAA-TM-NMFS_SWFSC-228) can be viewed and downloaded as a pdf file by  clicking here . If you can't read pdf files, Acrobat Reader is available for free from  Adobe.


  • The revised Macintosh version of CODE has some corrections, improvements and new features.  These are described in the  Manual Update.
