Fisheries Climatology: Tuna and Albacore
| Other past and ongoing
research has been on both tuna and clupeoid
species in the Gulf of Guinea, and on albacore catches off western
North America. The latter research involves relating the environment
to small space and time scale variation in catch-per-unit-effort
(CPUE) for albacore, and using the results to make short-term forecasts
of albacore CPUE.
Additionally, long time series of fish growth have been developed and evaluated relative to environmental factors. |
